Regulating temperature, humidity, ventilation, gas and pressure, the system delivers cost-effective control to deliver perfect ripening and fruit quality. For the most demanding applications, the Proba 5 offers extensive functionality, while the Proba 5 Compact delivers efficient control without the complexity.

Designed to be easy to use, even by non-technical staff, the system will enable you to create customised ripening programmes and save your bespoke processes for later reuse.

Unlike a PLC system, where you can be tied to the party that installed it for you, our system puts you firmly in control of your fruit ripening processes.

The Proba 5 has a central DIN-Rail control module at its heart, which can be mounted in a switch cabinet. It can be operated remotely via the VASP software running on a PC or locally in your ripening room via an optional touchscreen control panel. This provides current temperature to be viewed, for set points to be changed, and for programs to be stopped or the system put into standby.

Each Proba 5 controller can be added to your network and given a dedicated IP address. The VASP software can control up to 100 Proba 5 units and, if necessary, additional servers can be added to exceed this. The PC requires a java-capable browser. Alarm handling can vary between office hours and out of hours, and can be set to message via email or a message sent to your VASP companion app.

Ripening programs can be made by using a graph, making it easy to make adjustments. Set point changes can be defined with a ramp, a step or a combination of the two. Set as many set point changes per day as you require.
